Chief technician of the laboratory
Greetings from the dental laboratory VIM Lab!
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jan Pták and I am the chief technician of VIM Lab.
A few words about study and school:
In 2013, I graduated from the Medical School in České Budějovice (CZ), as "dental technician assistant". I continued my studies and in 2016 and successfully completed a bachelor's degree as dental technician at the University of Health and Social Work St. Elizabeth's.
And now the most important thing - practice and work experience:
I have been working in the field continuously since 2013, focusing mainly on the issues of fixed and removable dentures. In 2017, I decided to push the envelope and therefore accepted an international offer to work for the prestigious English clinic "Brighton Implant Clinic" in the south of Great Britain. I worked there for 4 years and gained countless experience in working with ceramics, but also invaluable knowledge At the CAD/CAM. At dental clinic in Brighton, I became the chief technician for the Ceramic Department. I am constantly learning, taking many other courses and trainings led by the world's leading experts, such as Nondas Vlachopoulos or Oliver Brix. After returning to the Czech Republic, I apply the most modern methods and working procedures in our laboratory.
And how does it work at our VIM Lab?
We pay a lot of attention to modernizing processes, materials and technology used, and we know that these things are the basis of the present and at the same time for the future.
In the laboratory we have top equipment - milling machine (VHF R5), furnaces (DEKEMA, IVOCLAR Programmer), laboratory scanner (MEDIT), 3D printer, etc. - all this is the basis of a modern laboratory, which brings you the best result.
In conclusion, I would like to thank you for your time and I look forward to future cooperation.
Regards,
Jan Ptak
